A powerful sturdy compact with easy manoeuvrability in restricted space.
MODEL: KR10 has higher traveling speed essential for distant worksites - ultimately economical.
MAIN FRAME: The frame is constructed with deep section rolled steel channels, crossbraced and stayed to form a rigd unit. All mail working parts are carried on the main frame.
GEAR BOX: The gearbox is of heavy duty fabricated from mild steel plates. All gears up to the final drive pinions are of heat-treated alloy or carbon steel and mounted in ball or roller bearings.
DIFFERENTIAL GEAR: Bevel type, enclosed in gearbox with lock, operated from drivers seat.
FINAL DRIVE: Each rear roll is driven spur gearing mounted on different shaft which ensures balanced traction with equal wear on each roll. The gears, fully protected are lubricated by a controlled piped oil feed.
LUBRICATION: Oil splash system with collecting trays and feed channels which maintain constant steam of oil over gears.
CLUTCH: Double acting, reinforced bonded asbestos lined single-plate, quick release type, controlled by single hand lever, forward and backward movement of which gives a corresponding direction of travel to the roller. The spring-load applied to the clutch through a ball bearing throw-over mechanism give the drive a perfectly smooth take-up.
STEERING FORK: Spanning the front roll longitudinally, the fork carriage by steel trunnion pins, thereby allowing the front roll to accommodate itself to the road surface without disturbing the stability of the machine.
FORECARRIAGE: Of steel construction with trunnion pins carried in generous size bearings.
STEERING: By car type hand wheel, operating the steering fork through worm and wheel reducing gear to a pinion which engages with a segment bolted with the bridge thereby effecting further reduction.
ROLLS: Of heavy section mild steel plates electrically welded, hubs are fitted with renewable bushes. The rolls can be ballasted by sand or water.
AXLES: Of carbon steel, exceptionally large in diameter and ground on all bearing faces.
BRAKES : Full self-wrapping, external contracting band type acting on the machined outer surfaces of the driving Fig. Independent control by hand wheel or foot pedal, the former is for parking.
SCRAPERS : Fixed bar-type scrapers to act in either direction fitted for each front and rear rolls.
CONTROLS : Steering wheel in centre and other controls grouped within convenient reach from driver's seat. The clutch lever on the left hand side and speed control lever on the right hand side of the driver.
DRIVER'S SEAT : Upholstered and covered in good quality, hard wearing waterproof material.
AWNING : Sheet steel lined with timber and fitted with stout rot-proof canvas side and end curtains.
SIDE PLATES AND BONNETS : The roller is completely covered by side and end plates and bonnets made from sheet steel pressings to give a pleasing appearance.
SIDE DOORS : Two louvered side doors at the front ensure easy access to engine and better air circulation.
PRESSURE BALANCER : A traveling cast iron mass is provided between the flangs of the frame channels to very pressure on both the front and hind rolls.
OUTFIT : Kit of tools housed in a built-in tool box.
